India was such an eye-opener, a country very rich in culture, but with millions and millions of people struggling to live every day. I’m very thankful to be back home in Auckland, but this Christmas, I fondly remember the chaos, the traffic, the people, and the noise that is India. It reminds me that in today’s world, we are no longer living simply for our families, but for all of humanity.
We are responsible for each other. It’s easy to get caught up in our own little bubbles of safety this holiday season, but let’s not forget that in the other side of the world, a family is struggling to give their children a Christmas they deserve.
Say a little prayer for them. We may not be able to do much, but just being aware of the hardships they face every day is a start.
I hope you feel empowered. You can influence, you can change things.
I hope you realize that you are blessed, and that the gifts and talents that you have can be used to make the world a better place, one little step at a time.
